Healthcare Information Technology
We have supported organizations such as District of Columbia, Department of Health (DC DoH) and Mary's Center for Maternal and Child Care (Marys Center) both Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grantees. The firm, in partnership with another company, assisted Marys Center to develop an online patient management system to collect patient data and to track services rendered and follow up care information. This entailed developing a secure application and database system that is HIPAA compliant and has the ability to communicate with other health systems using the Health Level 7 (HL-7) protocol. Catapult Consultants assisted DC DoH with a data gap analysis in which the findings will be used in the development of a new online system to track patient data.
Our experiences with health organizations also include developing custom web applications and databases. For the Health and Human Services Program Support Center (PSC), the firm developed a Section 508 compliant web-based registration system that enabled hundreds of users to register and purchase admission to an annual health conference. The system enabled PSC to save time and money and provided them real time data.
