Catapult Consultants Deployed by Marine Corps to Ensure Audit Readiness

Arlington, Virginia:Catapult Consultants, a leader in providing financial, acquisition, IT, and program management services to the federal government, has been selected by the United State Marine Corps to provide audit readiness services and ensure that financial reporting for the Marine Corps General Fund is in compliance with the Standard Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting System (SABRS) and Computerized Accounts for Payable System - Windows (CAPS-W).

In Fiscal Year 2008, the Marine Corps General Fund accounted for the expenditure of more than $37 billion. Catapult's auditing and financial management support will ensure the Marine Corps maintains a proactive stance in fulfilling its financial reporting requirements.

Catapult has been engaged to develop an audit readiness plan that incorporates project risk management and a response strategy, and assess the impact of non-compliant requirements on financial reports, among other tasks.
